The Industrial Processes and Environmental Management (PIME) training, attached to Pagora, is designed for third-year engineering students in all the schools at Grenoble INP. The course helps to understand the decontamination processes, have a grasp of the natural environment and develop strong skills in environmental management.
The first part of this optional semester provides a technical training in the treatment of solid, liquid and gaseous waste. It also offers future engineers the chance to acquire good skills in environmental management tools in the world of industry: carbon footprint, life-cycle assessment, methods for optimising energy performance, etc. The aim is to provide a two-fold professional-environmental expertise that meets the expectations of manufacturers who want to recruit engineers with a solid scientific training in a core profession - all reinforced by a complementary, multidisciplinary environmental curriculum, explains Agnès Guillet, lecturer at Pagora and head of PIME.
All the students who take this module take their place on the job market without any problems. PIME opens up numerous opportunities for them in all types of environmental companies (major water treatment companies, waste management companies, consultancies, etc.) as well as in other sectors.
